“The Government of Georgia will provide 211 IDP families with accommodations for free,” Georgian Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze has declared at a briefing today.

The IDPs will receive accommodations in Tbilisi, Poti, Gori, Batumi, Zugdidi, as well as Kakheti and Kvemo Kartli regions.

Bakhtadze said more than 17,000 IDP families have received apartments since October 2012.

Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze said that the process will continue.

Statistical data provided by the Ministry of Health, Social Care and Internally Displaced People shows there are 86,283 IDP families in Georgia as a result of local separatist conflicts in Abkhazia and Tskhinvali (South Ossetia) regions.
