The Ministry of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Labour, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia has announced a tender to purchase 400 apartments for internally displaced persons.

The ministry has announced a tender for developers to provide apartments to displaced people.

This decision was reached today at a meeting led by Minister Davit Sergeenko.

We’re willing to support veteran refugees and their families”, stated Minister Davit Sergeenko during the meeting.

A commission will discuss and define criteria which applicants will have to meet, the date and conditions have already been set. The ministry is going to purchase apartments in Tbilisi, Rustavi, Marneuli Khashuri, Batumi and Kutaisi. Applicants can register until November 16.

On November 8 an open door day will be held for interested persons to receive full information about the tender.

The head of the commission will be Deputy Minister Grigol Giorgadze. Other commission members include ministry employees, representatives of the municipal development fund of Georgia and four non-governmental organizations.
