Over 100 IDP families to receive deeds to inhabited flats owned by state

An additional 115 IDP families will receive the legal deeds to the flats they already inhabit but that are legally owned by the state.

These flats are located in Shida Kartli, Kvemo Kartli, Imereti, Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti, Racha-Lechkhumi, Mtsketa-Mtianeti, Samtskhe-Javakheti regions and Tbilisi. 

About 1,000 IDP families will receive the legal deeds to the flats by the end of this year, says the Internally Displaced Persons, Ecomigrants and Livelihood Agency.

Moreover, the agency says that about 2,000 IDP families will receive new flats in the framework of various programmes this year. 

Since 2013, about 21,000 IDP families have been given flats in Georgia.
