Germany gives €300,000 to Georgia to encourage trade across dividing lines

Germany has contributed €300,000 to the Peace Fund for a Better Future to encourage economic activities and business projects of the conflict-affected population living across the dividing lines of Georgia.

Germany reiterates its strong support for peaceful resolution of the conflict based on the principle of sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia...and welcomes the effective implementation of the peace policy, including through the peace initiative ‘A Step to a Better Future’, reads the joint statement of the Ministry for the Reconciliation and Civil Equality of Georgia and the Embassy of Germany to Georgia.

‘Produce for a Better Future’  grant programme was launched in Georgia on January 1, 2019 within  the peace initiative ‘A Step to a Better Future’ in order to encourage trade across the dividing lines.
