Georgia reports 578 new cases of coronavirus, 375 recoveries

Georgia has reported 578 new cases of the coronavirus and 375 recoveries in the past 24 hours.
Three individuals have died of the coronavirus in the country in the past day.

The new 578 cases were recorded in:
- Adjara region - 416 cases
- Tbilisi - 72 cases
- Imereti - 44 cases
- Sanegrelo-Zemo Svaneti - 23 cases
- Kvemo Kartli -10 cases
- Guria - 8 cases
- Shida Kartli - 1 case
- Samtskhe-Javakheti - 3 cases
- Kakheti - 1 case
As of today there are 45 patients in critical condition in the country. Nine of the 45 patients are from the country’s Russian-occupied Abkhazia region.
Georgia has had 8,696 cases of the coronavirus since February 26, 2020.

4,619 of the 8,696 patients have recovered, while 52 others have died.
As of today 4,025 individuals remain infected with Covid-19 in the country.
Georgia can admit 540 more Covid-19 patients in hospitals if necessary.
Patients with no symptoms or individuals with a mild form of the virus are undergoing treatment in hotels.
A total of 554 new cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in Georgia over the last 24 hours. Two more people have died and 252 individuals recovered. As of now, the number of total confirmed cases of COVID-19 has increased to 8,118 in Georgia, including 4,244 recoveries and 50 deaths.
Georgia has reported 471 new cases of COVID-19 over the last 24 hours, increasing the total number of confirmed cases to 7,564. Meanwhile, 278 individuals have recovered from.the coronavirus, increasing the total recoveries to 3,992.
Imedi TV journalist Zura Balanchivadze has tested positive for coronavirus. All of his contacts have been informed and they went to self-isolation, Imedi TV announced. The TV company continues to broadcast.
Georgia has reported a record-high, 448 new cases of the coronavirus earlier today. 241 of the 448 new cases were recorded in the country’s western, coastal Adjara region. Georgia has had 6,640 cases of the coronavirus since February 26, 2020.3,419 of the 6,640 patients have recovered, while 39 others have died. As of today 3,182 individuals remain infected with Covid-19 in the country. 35 of the 3,182 individuals are in critical condition.
Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia says that the Georgian economy continues to function, as does the education system and 'we have no grounds or desire to restrict these today because of the increased number of coronavirus cases.’
Georgia has reported 549 new cases of the coronavirus, 268 recoveries and four deaths in the past 24 hours. Three of the four new deaths were recorded in Georgia’s coastal Adjara region. All the individuals who have died of Covid-19 in the past 24 hours suffered from underlying illnesses. 55 patients are in critical condition around the country. The gold market at Tbilisi Central Station shopping centre has closed for two weeks as five employees have tested positive for Covid-19.
Seven of 988 people tested for coronavirus at a pop up testing centre at the Tbilisi House of Justice were positive.
Georgia has reported 508 new cases of the coronavirus earlier today. 259 of the 508 new cases were recorded in the coastal Adjara region, while 111 were recorded in Tbilisi. Four individuals have died of Covid-19 in the country in the past 24 hours - two in Adjara region, one in Terjola municipality and one in Tbilisi. The patients who have died of the virus were elderly individuals with underlying illness.

The majority of the new cases were recorded in the country’s coastal Adjara region and in the capital of Tbilisi. Three patients have died of the coronavirus in the country in the past 24 hours. All the deceased individuals were from the Adjara region. Georgia has had 10,225 cases of the coronavirus since February 26, 2020.5,553 of the 10,225 patients have recovered, while 66 have died.
