Seven of 988 people tested for coronavirus at a pop up testing centre at the Tbilisi House of Justice were positive. 

The Georgian National Centre for Disease Control recently invited people living in the Georgian capital city of Tbilisi to take part in voluntary free testing for Covid-19 which was held at the House of Justice on September 22 and 23.

All the citizens were tested for free.

Georgia has reported 549 new cases of the coronavirus, 268 recoveries and four deaths in the past 24 hours. 

Three of the four new deaths were recorded in Georgia’s coastal Adjara region. 

All the individuals who have died of Covid-19 in the past 24 hours suffered from underlying illnesses. 

55 patients are in critical condition around the country. 

Georgia has had 9,245 cases of the coronavirus since February 26, 2020.

As of today, 4,300 individuals remain infected with Covid-19 in the country. 

Georgia has tested more than 670,000 individuals for Covid-19 since January 2020.
