The Georgian National Centre for Disease Control is inviting people living in the Georgian capital city of Tbilisi to take part in voluntary free testing for Covid-19 which will be held at the House of Justice on September 22 and 23, announces Head of the centre Amiran Gamkrelidze.
We are interested in testing about 1,000 people to find out how intense the circulation of the infection is", said Gamkrelidze.
Meanwhile, Deputy Health Minister of Georgia Tamar Gabunia said that the test results delay has been increased to about three days due to the large number of coronavirus tests being performed.
Georgia has reported 218 new cases of the coronavirus earlier today which is the highest figure on record since the country confirmed its first case of the virus on February 26, 2020.
Meanwhile, a 23rd individual died of the coronavirus today.
