The gold market at Tbilisi Central Station shopping centre has closed for two weeks as five employees have tested positive for Covid-19.

Other employees are in self-isolation, said Director of Tbilisi Central Eter Kipiani. She noted that if an employee has a symptom of the virus, they will be tested.

Georgia has reported 549 new cases of the coronavirus, 268 recoveries and four deaths in the past 24 hours. 

Three of the four new deaths were recorded in Georgia’s coastal Adjara region. 

55 patients are in critical condition around the country. 

Georgia has had 9,245 cases of the coronavirus since February 26, 2020.

As of today, 4,300 individuals remain infected with Covid-19 in the country.
