Georgia’s national Greco-Roman wrestling team returned home this week from the U23 International Senior Polish Championships with one gold, three silver and seven bronze medals.
The team’s haul included a gold by Giorgi Shotadze in the 63 kg category of the tournament hosted in Pelplin.
Dimitri Khachidze (60 kg), Tsotne Ananidze (77 kg) and Lasha Tvildiani (97kg) added three silver medals in their respective weight categories.
Romeo Beridze (60 kg), Diego Chkhikvadze (67 kg), Giorgi Chkhikvadze (72 kg), Saba Mamaladze (82 kg), Achiko Boklvadze (87 kg), Luka Gabisonia (97 kg) and Giorgi Tsopurashvili (125 kg) won bronze medals at the tournament.
