Georgia’s national Greco-Roman wrestling team claimed 11 medals at the Dumitru Pirvulescu & Vasile Iorga Under-20 international tournament in Romania on the weekend, earning themselves the first place in the team ranking with the result.
Run between Friday and Sunday, the competition saw the Georgian team’s haul include eight gold, one silver and two bronze medals.
Anri Khozrevanidze (60kg), Rati Khozrevanidze (63kg), Nika Broladze (67kg), Anri Putkaradze (72kg), as well as Data Chkhaidze (82kg), Achiko Bolkvadze (87kg), Gor Ayvazyan (97kg) and Rati Talikishvili (130kg) won gold in their respective weight categories.
Giorgi Uertashvili (72kg) and Luka Gabisonia (130kg) earned bronze in the 72 and 130 kg sections respectively, with Tornike Mikeladze (77kg) adding a silver in the 72 kg to complete the collection.
