Young Georgian Greco-Roman wrestlers have claimed four medals at the ongoing U23 World Championships in Pontevedra, Spain, the Georgian wrestling federation announced on Thursday.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, two members of the Georgian national team claimed bronze medals in their respective weight categories.

In the tournament for the third place, Diego Chkhikvadze (67 kg) defeated Columbia’s Julian Zumbodo with a score of 3:1, while Beka Guruli (82 kg) defeated Ali Hunc from Türkiye with a score of 9:0.

The members of the Georgian national team claimed two medals on the second day of the championship. Giorgi Shotadze (63 kg) claimed silver, while Giorgi Tokhadze (55 kg) earned bronze.
Georgian freestyle wrestlers will start competing at the championship tomorrow.
