Georgia’s national Greco-Roman wrestling team claimed nine medals, including three gold, four silver and two bronze medals, at the 2023 Ibrahim Moustafa Ranking Series tournament, hosted in Egypt’s coastline city of Alexandria, the Sports Ministry said on Sunday.
The winners of the international tournament have been Ramaz Zoidze, Gela Bolkvadze and Lasha Gobadze in the 72 kg, 82 kg and 87 kg categories of the tournament.
Leri Abuladze (63 kg), Joni Khetsuriani (67 kg), Robert Kobliashvili (97 kg), and Otar Abuladze claimed silver medals in their respective weight categories.
Georgian wrestlers Zviad Pataridze (130 kg) and Guram Khetsuriani (67 kg) became winners of the bronze medals.
The final in the 72 kg category of the tournament was between two Georgian wrestlers, Zoidze and Abuladze, with Zoidze claiming the win by 6:0.
