NATO-Georgia ties and the current situation in Georgia’s Russian-occupied regions of Abkhazia and Tskhinvali (South Ossetia), as well as the conflicts and security challenges in the South Caucasus and Black Sea regions, were discussed on Tuesday in a meeting between Shalva Papuashvili, the Georgian Parliament Speaker and Ambassadors of NATO member states.
The meeting involved the Ambassadors of the US, France, Turkey, the United Kingdom, Romania, Poland, and other member states of NATO, the Georgian Parliament said.

Papuashvili will hold a bilateral meeting with Mircea Geoană, the Deputy Secretary General of NATO and is also set to participate in the NATO-Georgia Commission meeting tomorrow, the legislative body said.
The Parliament Speaker, along with the Georgian delegation, left for Brussels earlier today.
