I anticipate a highly engaging discussion”, Papuashvili said, noting the visit marked "another opportunity” for him since January 2022 to engage in the Commission’s meetings.
The official noted last year’s visit occurred before Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022 and added “after a year and a half, we will discuss how Georgia navigated through that period, maintaining a secure environment to ensure the safety of our citizens and a secure corridor for NATO, bridging Europe and Asia".
The Georgian delegation - comprising Nikoloz Samkharadze, the Chair of the Foreign Relations Committee in the Georgian Parliament, Irakli Beraia, the Head of the Defence and Security Committee, and MP Ketevan Turazashvili - will conclude the visit on Thursday.
