The Government has spent ₾100 million ($39.38mln) on renovating the venues, with the Ministry noting the works were being carried out with the involvement of the UEFA.

Infrastructure Minister Irakli Karseladze, who on Tuesday visited the Mikheil Meskhi stadium, said the effort was nearing the finish line.

Ninety-five percent of the work is completed. It can be safely said that Georgia will meet not only the UEFA U21 European Championship, but other tournaments with adequate infrastructure”, he said.
