A second package of humanitarian aid to Ukraine is ready to be delivered to the country after being collected throughout Georgia, the Government Administration said on Monday.

The package involves 120 tons of aid, including 90 tons mobilised from regions of the country following a decision by the Prime Minister. The delivery mainly includes medicines, non-perishable products and basic necessities.

The Government Administration said the effort of collecting the aid had involved regional State Representatives and the Government's Department for Relations with the Regions, with both private and civic sectors involved in the process.

The humanitarian aid mobilised in the regions of eastern Georgia has been collected at a Georgian Post Terminal in capital Tbilisi and will be sent to Ukraine after passing relevant procedures.

Collection of aid from western Georgian regions is expected to be finalised for the package to be sent to Ukraine by the end of the week.

The Georgian Government has been providing large-scale humanitarian assistance to Ukraine since the start of hostilities in the country last month, while also extending support to Ukrainian citizens in Georgia.
