Economy Ministry: Georgia ranks 1st among 191 countries in Ukraine aid supply
Georgia is also among the 14 countries that have enabled individuals and legal entities to send free postal parcels to Ukraine to their preferred recipients since the outbreak of conflict in February, Georgian Post said.
The humanitarian aid used for the ranking does not include technological, construction and other humanitarian cargo supplied by other countries.
The first humanitarian aid was sent from Georgia to Ukraine in February following an initiative of the Prime Minister of Georgia. Aid has also been sent with the involvement of State Representatives of all regions of Georgia and the Department of Government Relations with the regions. Aid was collected and sent to Ukraine by the Parliament of Georgia, Tbilisi City Hall, the Orthodox Church Patriarchate and the National Food Agency.
