Children of Ukrainian families stranded in Tbilisi due to the outbreak of hostilities in their country following the Russian invasion will be able to go to kindergartens without any fees starting the next week, Mayor Kakha Kaladze announced on Wednesday.
Kaladze also said Ukrainian children would be given priority during pre-school admissions, revealing the latest move of the authorities to help the Ukrainian nationals in Georgia.
In further comments about a social campaign of the Tbilisi City Hall, Kaladze said 1,117,000 GEL (about $346,405/€315,005) had already been raised for Ukrainians affected by the war on a treasury account, through contributions by Georgian citizens and entrepreneurs.
