A total of four night clubs located in Batumi - Soho, Sector 26, Conte bar and UP2U - have been closed down and fined for violating coronavirus-related safety norms.

Only Iveria Beach club satisfied the coronavirus-related requirements of safety, following the monitoring carried out by the labour inspection department of the Health Ministry along with the National Food Agency on Batumi Boulevard.

The Health Ministry reported that all of the night clubs had received verbal warnings to follow the recommendations ‘a number of times’. However, the repeated inspection showed ‘critical inconsistencies’ there.

Therefore, the labour inspection has made a decision to suspend the right of their activities and to fine each of them with 10,000 GEL.
