Rescuers save two Georgians stuck at 3200-meter altitude on Kazbegi

Rescuers have saved two Georgian nationals in Kazbegi today who were stuck at the 3200-meter Kuro peak.

One of them had health problems and was unable to walk.

The Kazbegi rescue team set out and was accompanied by a Border Police helicopter. Both rescuers were then brought to a safe location.

Neither of the hikers are in a critical condition. 

Earlier in July, Georgian rescuers saved a young woman on Mkinvartsveri Peak, Kazbegi while two days later they saved nine tourists (including seven Norwegians) in mountainous Racha region in western Georgia.

Kuro Peak is a mountain in the Georgian region of Kazbegi, with an elevation of 3342 meters.
