Rescuers find two dead, of three Belarusian tourists lost on Tetnuldi peak, Georgia

Georgian rescuers have found three Belarusian tourists that got lost yesterday when hiking on Tetnuldi peak, Svaneti, Georgia.

Two of the tourists were found dead and the other was found with severe injuries. The Emergency Management Centre reports that the injured tourist is in critical condition.

The bodies and injured tourist have been transferred to Mestia, Svaneti.

Tetnuldi is the famous winter resort in the western Svaneti region of Georgia. The Tetnuldi peak is ranked 10th among the highest peaks in Caucasus.

Reascuers have saved four American citizens in the village of Omalo, in Georgia’s historical region of Tusheti. The Emergency Management Service of Interior Ministry received information the tourists were injured earlier today. Three women and a man were taken to Ghudushauri hospital in the Georgian capital of Tbilisi for treatment on a Border Police helicopter.

Rescuers have saved a Lithuanian citizen who was stuck on the 4000-meter Mkinvartsveri peak, also known as Kazbegi Mountain. The Emergency Management Service of Interior Ministry received information that a 53-year-old tourist was injured.

Rescuers save two Georgians stuck at 3200-meter altitude on Kazbegi

Rescuers have saved two Georgian nationals in Kazbegi today who were stuck at the 3200-meter Kuro peak. One of them had health problems and was unable to walk. The Kazbegi rescue team set out and was accompanied by a Border Police helicopter. Both rescuers were then brought to a safe location.

Rescuers save young woman at Mkinvartsveri, Georgia

Rescuers saved a young Georgian woman when she was hiking towards the Mkinvartsveri peak in Kazbegi region of Georgia today. The young woman was in need of medical assistance as she had injuries on legs and was unable to move. Rescuers of Kazbegi emergency service department brought the injured woman to the location where emergency brigade was mobilised.
