Georgian rescuers have saved three German and one French tourist in the mountains of Svaneti, one of Georgia’s most popular resorts.
The Emergency Management Service of the Interior Ministry was informed that the four tourists could not return and needed assistance as one of them had badly injured her leg.
A four-member rescue team immediately went to the mountains to provide the French tourist with first aid. The tourist was afterwards taken to hospital for further treatment.
The rest of the three foreigners were taken to a safer place and they all feel fine now.
A group of Russian tourists have been saved by Georgian rescuers after getting trapped in an avalanche in Georgia’s high mountainous region of Svaneti.
A Bulgarian tourist has been saved after getting trapped in an avalanche in Georgia’s winter resort Gudauri. The tourist was rescued after rescue officers from the state Mountain Resorts Development Company noticed him trapped in untracked snow.

Firefighters have saved a 16-year-old girl in Gori, in the Shida Kartli region of Georgia today. A fire broke out on the first floor of a residential building and locals called the emergency number 112. Firefighters, police officers and emergency brigades appeared at the scene without delay.
Georgia rescuers have saved nine tourists in Georgia’s mountainous Racha region in western Georgia earlier today, when masses of stones and trees collapsed and blocked the road near the village of Glola.
Rescuers have saved two Georgian nationals in Kazbegi today who were stuck at the 3200-meter Kuro peak. One of them had health problems and was unable to walk. The Kazbegi rescue team set out and was accompanied by a Border Police helicopter. Both rescuers were then brought to a safe location.
Police officers have rescued an abandoned newborn in Georgia’s western region of Guria. The local hospital in Ozurgeti informed police early on August 16 that they had received a young woman with postpartum complications. However, she did not have the newborn with her.
A Swiss tourist, who went missing on Guli Pass in Mestia municipality, has been found dead earlier today.
