Police officers have rescued an abandoned newborn in Georgia’s western region of Guria.
The local hospital in Ozurgeti informed police early on August 16 that they had received a young woman with postpartum complications. However, she did not have the newborn with her.
The local police immediately went to the young woman’s place and found the newborn abandoned in a nut orchard.
The police officers called emergency. However, before the doctors arrived, they provided the first aid.
