Rescuers have saved an Iranian citizen in the village of Kumelaurta, in Georgia’s historical region of Tusheti.
The rescue teams of Interior Ministry’s Emergency Management Service received information that the 30-year-old tourist was badly injured.

Doctors said, transportation by land could endanger her life due to heavy injuries and long distance. Therefore, the young woman was delivered to the hospital in Tbilisi on a Border Police helicopter.
A group of Russian tourists have been saved by Georgian rescuers after getting trapped in an avalanche in Georgia’s high mountainous region of Svaneti.

Georgian rescuers have helped two Ukrainian tourists descend Ushba Mountain today. The Emergency Management Service was notified that the tourists had taken a fall while returning from the peak and were in need of rescuers’ assistance.
Police officers have rescued an abandoned newborn in Georgia’s western region of Guria. The local hospital in Ozurgeti informed police early on August 16 that they had received a young woman with postpartum complications. However, she did not have the newborn with her.
