Rescuers from the Emergency Management Agency of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have helped eight tourists from Poland, France and Ukraine, who got lost in the mountainous region of Dusheti area yesterday.

The Agency reported that late yesterday two Polish tourists contacted the 112 emergency service and asked for help as they had lost their way.

As soon we received the call a group was sent to the site from where the tourists had contacted us,” the Agency stated.

They said the search operation was underway for several hours due to poor vision and a difficult relief.

They were found on the territory near villages Roshka and Juta. Nearby the rescuers also found three French and three Ukrainian tourists who had also gotten lost,” the Agency stated.

The tourists were accommodated at one of the hotels in the Roshka village.
