Georgia’s Road Department has issued a statement in which they appealed to those planning to visit mountainous regions in the coming days to adhere to special recommendations.
The statement reads that bad weather is expected in the mountainous regions in the coming days and advised drivers wishing to visit any mountainous regions in the week to use winter tires.
The department also asked drivers to refrain from transporting to the regions, the transit car drivers among them, if their cars face technical problems.
The statement also stressed the importance of the drivers obeying the restrictions on the roads.
The Road Department announced they have already sent relevant techniques to the regions to ensure timely cleaning of roads when it is necessary.
