Georgian PM to feature at Global Gateway Forum in Brussels

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili on Tuesday left for Brussels to participate in the Global Gateway Forum organised by the European Commission, the Government Administration said.

Garibashvili will be the main speaker at a working panel held within the framework of the Forum. The Georgian official was invited to the event by the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen.

The Forum will discuss a European strategy aimed at improving secure connections in the digital, energy and transport sectors, as well as strengthening health, education and research systems around the world.

It complies with the United Nations 2030 agenda, sustainable development goals and the Paris Climate Agreement, and its goal is to mobilise up to €300 billion of investments to fund priority areas.
