The agenda of the Georgian Parliament and “current events” in the country were discussed on Tuesday in a meeting between the Georgian Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili and Robin Dunnigan, the newly appointed Ambassador of the United States to the country.
The sides discussed Dunnigan’s plans, possibilities of activating parliamentary relations between the two countries, as well as “ongoing processes” in the wider region, the Georgian Parliament said.
Dunnigan stressed the American Government’s mission would be to further strengthen relations with Georgia “in all directions”, and noted she was ready to “actively work” with the country's legislative body.
Welcome to Georgia, Ambassador @Robin_Dunnigan.
