The Georgian National Tourism Administration and 52 travel companies and hotels from the country are promoting visitor sights and tourist potential of Georgia at the Arabian Travel Market, a trade exhibition hosted in Dubai between Monday and Wednesday.
As part of the exhibition, the Administration and the private sector are holding meetings with some of the largest tourist and airline companies of the Gulf countries, with GNTA Head Maia Omiadze leading the meetings.

The countries of the Persian Gulf represent an important target market for us, and therefore this year, in the summer, we are expecting a lot of tourists in Georgia”, Omiadze said.
Georgian Deputy Economy Minister Mariam Kvrivishvili said she was confident featuring the country at the fair would be “another success for our country and the awareness of Georgia will increase in the countries of the Persian Gulf”, leading to a “positive impact on increasing the number of tourist visits from the region to our country”.

Maka Tskhomelidze, representing hotels Mercure and IBIS Style at the exhibition, said she hoped ATM Dubai would increase the awareness of tourism products offered by Georgia.
We hope to receive many guests from the Middle East, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia”, she said.
Among the state bodies represented at the event are the Tourism Department of the western Georgian region of Adjara, the Destination Management Organisation of another western region of Imereti, and the City Hall of the capital Tbilisi.
