Hungarian bloggers, influencers and photographers have been hosted in cities of Georgia’s west to explore the domestic tourist potential before publishing impressions to their readers and followers, the Georgian National Tourism Administration said on Monday.

The visiting group were hosted in the western hub city of Kutaisi, medical resort of Sairme, popular visitor destination of Martvili, highland town of Mestia and Black Sea city of Batumi in the promotion effort run by the GNTA.

They were introduced to Georgian marine, mining and spa resorts, adventure tourism, cuisine and wine as part of the campaign.

The Administration said “tens of thousands” of readers and social media users in Hungary would see articles, images and videos produced as a result of the tour, with the body pushing for increased tourist visits from Hungary and promotion of travel-related goods.

The social media figures were invited to Georgia following the Utazas 2023 exhibition in Budapest, where the GNTA and the Adjara regional Tourism Department featured to promote Georgian destinations.
