Georgian food, beverage producers feature in Gulfood 2023 exhibition

The Gulfood 2023 exhibition, the largest annual food and beverage sourcing show in the Middle East, is featuring 25 Georgian companies this week, the Enterprise Georgia state platform for promoting entrepreneurship said on Tuesday.
Georgian stands are introducing fair visitors to products by the companies, with over 100,000 flocking to the event traditionally held at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.

They are showcasing a variety of products such as nuts, natural vegetable and fruit juices, honey, laurel, dried fruit, tea goods, fresh lamb meat and canned meat.
The state programme also said talks involving it had enabled Georgian presenters to highlight their products in a larger space at the fairgrounds, leading to increased numbers of companies being involved in the event.
In the promotion effort, the companies will also hold meetings with buyers selected by international consultants, with the fair running through Friday.
Georgia’s National Tourism Administration and a number of companies involved in the industry showcased the country’s potential at BIT Milano, the largest tourism fair in Italy, between Sunday and Tuesday.
Georgian wine producers are showcased in the international wine fair VinExpo Paris in the French capital, the National Wine Agency said on Tuesday.
Georgia’s tourism potential has been promoted at Balttour 2023, one of the largest trade fair exhibitions in Latvia’s capital city of Riga, with the involvement of the country’s national tourism bodies and 11 companies, the Georgian National Tourism Administration said on Saturday.
Georgian brands producing toys are featured at the ongoing Spielwarenmesse Fair in Germany, while companies from the country that make children’s clothing are among exhibitors at Playtime Paris in the French capital.
Hungarian bloggers, influencers and photographers have been hosted in cities of Georgia’s west to explore the domestic tourist potential before publishing impressions to their readers and followers, the Georgian National Tourism Administration said on Monday.
