Georgian wine producers are showcased in the international wine fair VinExpo Paris in the French capital, the National Wine Agency said on Tuesday.

The Agency said the Georgian companies’ participation in the event would increase the international awareness of wine from the country and give the entrepreneurs an opportunity to find new trade partners worldwide.
Within the fair - which launched on Monday and will close on Wednesday - wine producers also have an opportunity to present their products at special tasting spaces, the Agency added.

Georgian winemakers are also set to bring their products to markets in the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, Poland, China, South Korea, Japan and the Baltic States this year, under the ₾14 million ($5.2 mln) budget of the state programme for wine promotion.
The National Wine Agency will spend ₾2 million ($756,000) on promoting Georgian wine at international industry fairs and domestic events throughout 2023, the body said on Tuesday.
Georgian Agriculture Minister Otar Shamugia said maintaining the international image of Georgian wine remained a “priority” for state institutions, in comments made during his visit to a Tbilisi wine laboratory on Thursday.
