26 Georgian wine companies on display at Vinexpo New York exhibition

At the international exhibition of wine and alcoholic beverages Vinexpo New York in the United States, 26 Georgian wine companies showcased their products, with the financial and organisational support of the National Wine Agency, the Agency said on Saturday.

Within the scope of the exhibition, representatives of the Agency discussed the strategy for the promotion of Georgian wine with Georgian wine importers and representatives of local distribution companies, which aims to strengthen the position of Georgian wine in the US.
In recent years, the measures implemented with the support of the Georgian Government helped to increase the awareness of Georgian wine in the US, which was reflected in concrete results”, the Agency noted.
The “steady growth” of the export of Georgian wine to the US market, which reached its “historical maximum” in 2022 with up to 1 million litres of wine exported from the country was also highlighted by the state body.

Participation in an exhibition of such scale is “one of the important conditions” for the diversification of wine markets and export growth, the Agency added.
