Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili on Thursday visited the Georgian-based Badagoni Wine Company and got acquainted with the production process, together with the Agriculture Minister Otar Shamugia and Leri Barnabishvili, the Head of the Regional Liaison Department of the Government Administration.
The Badagoni company, which employs more than 1000 people, intends to process 10,000 tonnes of grapes this year, with an agro loan of ₾15 million (about $5.6 mln), the Government Administration said.
A new production area of the company was built on the 3800 square metres with a loan of ₾2.5 million (about $934,000) from the state programme Enterprise Georgia.
Founded in 2006, the winery owns two factories in eastern Georgia's Akhmeta and Manavi villages and operates in 35 countries, being the leader both in the domestic market and in the export business.
