Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili on Thursday visited the reconstructed Alaverdi Monastery in Georgia’s eastern Kakheti region during the harvest festival - Alaverdoba.
Together with the Head of the Regional Liaison Department of the Government Administration, Leri Barnabishvili and the Government representatives, Garibashvili also inspected the ancient cellar and the exhibits discovered during the archeological works at the site.
Abba Alaverdeli Metropolitan David blessed Garibashvili and wished him success, the Government Administration said.
Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili on Thursday visited the Georgian-based Badagoni Wine Company and got acquainted with the production process, together with the Agriculture Minister Otar Shamugia and Leri Barnabishvili, the Head of the Regional Liaison Department of the Government Administration.
Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili on Thursday described the ongoing grape harvest season in the country as “very successful”, saying about 170,000 tonnes of the product had already been processed and up to 13,000 farmers received ₾200 million ($74 mln) in income.
