Giorgi Zakarashvili, the Ambassador of Georgia to Ukraine, said the Georgian side was “actively cooperating” with the relevant structures in Ukraine to ensure the transportation of the bodies of two Georgian volunteers who had died in war in Ukraine.
Zakarashvili told Georgian Public Broadcaster on Saturday that one of the bodies had been placed in the morgue, while the other was yet to be taken there.
I think when the second body is taken to the morgue, we will be able to transport them to Poland in a few days. Everything should end by the week,” he noted.
Zakarashvili added the Georgian diplomatic mission kept working in Kyiv, Lviv and Odessa to help the Georgian citizens in need.
The Georgian Foreign Ministry confirmed the death of two Georgian volunteers in Ukraine on Friday.
