Romania is an unwavering supporter of Georgia's sovereignty, territorial integrity, and its European and Euro-Atlantic aspirations. In 2019, we celebrated the 300th anniversary of Georgian-Romanian relations, while this year marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties”, said the ambassador.
The welcoming ceremony for the Georgian president was held at the Bucharest Henri Coanda International Airport early on Tuesday, with Iulian Fota, the state secretary of the ministry of foreign affairs of Romania, Nikolozishvili and Romania’s ambassador to Georgia Răzvan Rotundu greeting Zourabichvili.
Nikolozishvili also said that while in Bucharest, Zourabichvili would meet with her Romanian counterpart, as well as the country’s prime minister and parliament speaker before visiting the port city of Constanța.
