Romania fully supports integration of Ukraine, as well as of the Republic of Moldova and Georgia, with the European Union, the country’s President Klaus Iohannis tweeted on Tuesday.
In his social media message supporting the EU aspirations of the three countries, Iohannis said “the place of these partners of the EU is within the European family”.

The President added his country would “do its best” to support the integration process of the states, members of the EU’s Eastern Partnership initiative.
Georgian Foreign Minister David Zalkaliani and James Cleverly, the British Minister for European Neighbourhood and the Americas, shared concerns over the conflict in Ukraine in a phone call on Monday.
Georgia’s President Salome Zourabichvili has highlighted the European Union’s “historical importance” and the role of the unity of the EU in dealing with Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, discussing the matters with European leaders on Sunday.
Georgian Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze is visiting Romania today. He will visit the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier first to lay a wreath shortly after his arrival.
Georgia and Romania pledge to intensify economic and political cooperation and the Prime Ministers of the two states have issued a joint declaration to this end.

Romania will allocate $1,4 million to NATO funds dedicated to strengthening the resilience of defence capabilities of Ukraine, Moldova, Georgia and Jordan, the Romanian foreign office said on Monday.
Cooperation between Georgia and Romania, and relations with NATO and the European Union were discussed on Tuesday in a meeting between Georgian prime minister Irakli Garibashvili and Romanian defence minister Vasile Dîncu.
