The current agenda of bilateral relations between Georgia and Romania was discussed on Saturday by the countries’ foreign ministers Ilia Darchiashvili and Bogdan Aurescu.
In a meeting held within the frame of the ongoing Munich Security Conference, the officials focused on Georgia’s European and Euro-Atlantic integration, the Foreign Ministry said.

The ministers welcomed the “strategic document” on the Black Sea submarine electricity cable project, signed by the high officials of Georgia and Romania, along with Azerbaijan and Hungary in December, and agreed to “actively work” on the relevant action plan for the implementation of the deal.
They also exchanged views on the significance of the quadrilateral agreement signed [in Romania] and on further steps planned in this direction.

Aurescu once again expressed his country’s “strong support” for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia, while Darchiashvili invited him to visit the country.
