Infrastructure Minister: all cities in Georgia to have 24-hour water supply by 2025

Georgian Infrastructure Minister Irakli Karseladze announced on Thursday “all cities” of the country would enjoy 24-hour water supply by 2025, with the Government spending ₾9 billion (about $3bln/€2.80bln) for the task.

Karseladze said water supply would be improved for an additional 585,000 beneficiaries at 182 locations across Georgia under the ongoing projects, with 200,000 of the citizens having never had access to round-the-clock supply before.

The Minister announced four villages in the southeastern Gardabani municipality would receive 24-hour supply this month, while the project would continue in Dedoplistskaro, Telavi, Tetritskaro, Samtredia, Vani, Bagdati, Kazbegi, Stepantsminda and other areas of the country.
