Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili discussed coordinated cooperation for attracting cargo in the Europe-Asia transport corridor with Rashad Nabiev, the Minister of Digital Development and Transport of Azerbaijan, in Tbilisi on Monday.

The two officials reviewed joint efforts that will “ultimately have a positive impact” on the economies of both countries, the Government Administration said.

The meeting highlighted the success of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway, the Black Sea-Caspian Sea transport route, the Persian Gulf-Black Sea corridor and the green ports. The sides also stressed the importance of peace and stability for the development of the South Caucasus region, and long-term prosperity in the area.
