Georgia is waiting for the results of its State Audit Office studying the recent delay in AstraZeneca vaccination in Tbilisi.
Over 25 individuals registered for vaccination on June 21 were not able to receive the vaccine at the Republic hospital, Infectious Disease hospital and Khechinashvili hospitals due to certain logistic issues.
Saying the lack of the vaccines was unexpected, Head of the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) Amiran Gamkrelidze says everyone who has failed to receive their respective shots will be vaccinated as soon as possible.
Georgia started vaccination in mid-March after it received 43,200 doses of AstraZeneca/Oxford vaccine.
