Police seize drugs in Adjara, firearms in Tbilisi

Police have detained three Georgian citizens for the purchase and possession of over 22 gr of heroin and 50 pills of methadone in the Georgian Black Sea region of Adjara.

The crime is punishable by 20 years in prison or life imprisonment.

The Ministry also reported that police have seized illegal firearms and ammunition in the Georgian capital of Tbilisi as well.

In particular, an individual, identified only as A.E. and born in 1969 was found in illegal possession of a firearm, two cartridges and 83 bullets.

The crime is punishable by three to six years in prison.
