Police have detained a Georgian citizen for violence against his wife in the Georgian Black Sea region of Adjara today.
The individual, identified only as G.Kh. and born in 1982, verbally insulted and physically attacked her wife in the small town of Chakvi in Kobuleti Municipality.
The crime is punishable by two years in prison.
The Interior Ministry reported that police have also detained two Georgian citizens, identified only as S.S. and S.S., both born in 1991, for attempted premeditated murder in Samtskhe-Javakheti region.
The crime is punishable by 16 to 20 years in prison or lifetime imprisonment.
