Georgia has reported a record 298 new cases of the coronavirus earlier today and three deaths.
Representative of Tbilisi Hospital of Infections Diseases Marina Endeladze said that two of the three patients who died of coronavirus were treated in the coastal Adjara region and one in the capital city of Tbilisi.
Three patients died yesterday, two of them in Adjara, men aged 65 and 70, who had concomitant diseases. One had diabetes and the other had a stroke, bilateral acute pneumonia, respiratory failure, and was unable to recover from their condition. A 57-year-old woman died in Tbilisi, who also had concomitant diseases and developed acute respiratory syndrome. The patient could not be taken out", she said.
Meanwhile, 148 individuals recovered in Georgia within the last 24 hours. The total number of recoveries has reached 2,054.

In total 31 people have died of the virus in the country, 5,650 people are in quarantine, 836 are under hospital supervision, and 41 citizens of Georgia have been transported home from abroad for treatment. The number of people staying at COVID hotels amounts to 800.
Since February 26, 2020 Georgia has had 5,552 cases of the coronavirus.
