34th patient dies of coronavirus in Georgia

One more individual has died in Georgia today from coronavirus complications, increasing the death toll to 34.

A 70-year-old man had concomitant chronic diseases.

The patient had tuberculosis. His health condition had recently worsened and despite resuscitation measures, he could not be saved,” said Mikheil Kamushadze, director of Sachkhere Medical Center.

He had been treated in Sachkhere hospital and was brought there from Kutaisi hospital on September 26.

Georgia has reported a record 314 new cases of the coronavirus earlier today and two deaths.

Meanwhile, 270 individuals recovered in Georgia within the last 24 hours. The total number of recoveries has reached 2,324.

Since February 26, 2020 Georgia has had 5,866 cases of the coronavirus.
