Georgia reports 314 new coronavirus cases, 270 recoveries, one death

Georgia has reported a record 314 new cases of the coronavirus earlier today and one death.

Representative of Tbilisi Hospital of Infections Diseases Marina Endeladze said that out of 314 new cases of the coronavirus 225 were registered in the coastal Adjara region.

The cases were distributed in:

• Adjara region - 225 cases
• Tbilisi - 35 cases
• Imereti region - 22 cases
• Samegrelo and Zemo-Svaneti - 18 cases
• Shida Kartli - 9 cases
• Samtskhe-Javakheti - 3 cases
• Guria region - 1 case
• Kvemo Kartli region - 1 case

Meanwhile, 270 individuals recovered in Georgia within the last 24 hours. The total number of recoveries has reached 2,324.

In total 33 people have died of the virus in the country, 5637 people are in quarantine, 836 are under hospital supervision, and 41 citizens of Georgia have been transported home from abroad for treatment. The number of people staying at COVID hotels amounts to 800.

Since February 26, 2020 Georgia has had 5,866 cases of the coronavirus.
