32nd patient dies of coronavirus in Georgia

One more infected individual has died in Georgia today increasing the coronavirus-related deaths to 32.

Georgian Health Minister Ekaterine Tikaradze said that a 57 years old man had concomitant diseases and his condition was critical. 

Meanwhile, Georgia has reported a record 298 new cases of the coronavirus earlier today.

The cases were distributed in:

  • Adjara region - 175 cases
  • Imereti region - 38 cases
  • Tbilisi - 32 cases
  • Guria region - 16 cases
  • Samtskhe-Javakheti - 11 cases
  • Kvemo Kartli region - 7 cases
  • Kakheti - 4 case

Meanwhile, 148 individuals recovered in Georgia within the last 24 hours. The total number of recoveries has reached 2,054.

In total 32 people have died of the virus in the country, 5,650 people are in quarantine, 836 are under hospital supervision, and 41 citizens of Georgia have been transported home from abroad for treatment. The number of people staying at COVID hotels amounts to 800.

Since February 26, 2020 Georgia has had 5,552 cases of the coronavirus.
