Georgia has confirmed 294 new coronavirus cases over the last 24 hours with 66% of cases reported in the Adjara region and 15% of cases reported in the capital of Tbilisi, Marina Endeladze, representative of Tbilisi Hospital of Infections Diseases, announced earlier today.
Endeladze told journalists that Georgia retains the status of a ‘green zone’ with the speed of the spread of the infection so far.
Endeladze also said that as all of the sources of infection have been identified for now, the situation will gradually stabilise and come to an end.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia has again told journalists today that no ‘systemic closure or further restrictions’ are being discussed nowadays not to harm the current social and economic environment.
PM Gakharia called on everyone to maintain the basic rules of hygiene. He also called on the elderly people and people with chronic diseases to stay home and take care, especially in the region of Adjara.
