One more infected individual has died in Georgia today increasing the coronavirus-related death toll to 40.
An 81-year-old man was undergoing treatment at the hospital at Batumi Republican Hospital, Adjara region. He had concomitant diseases.

Georgia has had 6,640 cases of the coronavirus since February 26, 2020.
In the last 24 hours, 299 more patients recovered from the virus, increasing the total number of recovered people to 3,419.
As of today, 3,181 individuals remain infected with Covid-19 in the country.
Georgia has reported a record-high, 448 new cases of the coronavirus earlier today. 241 of the 448 new cases were recorded in the country’s western, coastal Adjara region. Georgia has had 6,640 cases of the coronavirus since February 26, 2020.3,419 of the 6,640 patients have recovered, while 39 others have died. As of today 3,182 individuals remain infected with Covid-19 in the country. 35 of the 3,182 individuals are in critical condition.
Two more coronavirus patients have died today in Georgia, increasing the death toll to 39.
Both individuals had underlying diseases; the 82-year old woman had severe respiratory failure with bilateral pneumonia, ischemic heart disease and diabetes, while the 79-year-old man had chronic heart failure, acute renal failure, acute heart failure, bilateral pneumonia and acute respiratory failure.
One more individual has died in Georgia today from coronavirus complications, increasing the death toll to 34.
